2
Choose Clay Pot Rice
You will be asked to select a claypot rice to go with your Hanakago Gozen. This is usually white rice, but we encourage you to substitute the white rice for the rice of your choice. We offer as many as 10 different variations using carefully selected ingredients, mainly sourced from Kyushu.

The claypot rice
can be made into onigiri
to take home.
Claypot rice is freshly made and served to each guest individually. The rice is cooked in larger portions, so any leftover rice can be made into onigiri to take home. We hope you continue to enjoy our delicious rice at home.
Adjusting the amount of water,
heat, and flavor
requires a human touch.
Each serving of claypot rice is carefully cooked to order, one pot at a time, right on the counter and takes 20 to 30 minutes to cook. Our professional kitchen staff measures the water by the gram and adjusts the fire appropriately. We steam the rice until the aroma is just right, and serve it to you at the perfect time. The exquisitely cooked, glossy and exquisitely beautiful rice is the culmination of our continued efforts to provide a consistent delicious taste. The white rice included with the Hanakago Gozen can be replaced with your choice of claypot rice for an additional charge. From locally sourced seafood to hearty meats and premium foie gras, we use luxurious ingredients that taste even better when paired with rice. Feel free to choose according to your preference and mood of the day.
